Definition: This block contains a wide variety of disorders that differ in severity and clinical form but that are all attributable to the use of one or more psychoactive substances, which may or may not have been medically prescribed. Where the calculation pursuant to subparagraph 1(a) in one Member State invariably results in the independent benefit being equal to or higher than the pro rata benefit, calculated in accordance with subparagraph 1(b), the competent institution may waive the pro rata calculation, under the conditions provided for in the Implementing Regulation.
