Definition: This block contains a wide variety of disorders that differ in severity and clinical form but that are all attributable to the use of one or more psychoactive substances, which may or may not have been medically prescribed. The third character of the code identifies the substance involved, and the fourth character specifies the clinical state. Alex Atamanenko: En ce qui concerne l’industrie de l’abattage des chevaux au Canada: a) le gouvernement sait-il s’il y a observation par des tiers des séquences vidéos à Viandes Richelieu et Bouvry Exports et, dans l'affirmative, (i) quels sont les critères d’observation, (ii) qui assure l’observation des séquences vidéos, (iii) quelles mesures a-t-on prises, le cas échéant, par suite des observations, (iv) l’observation des séquences vidéos sera-t-elle quotidienne à ces abattoirs et aux autres abattoirs de chevaux au Canada, (v) combien d’heures ont été observées, (vi) les séquences vidéos sont-elles archivées et pendant combien de temps, (vii) l’enregistrement se fait-il en boucle; b) quels types de tissus et(ou) de liquides organiques le gouvernement cible-t-il pour dépister la phénylbutazone et d’autres substances dans la viande de cheval, (i) quelle proportion du dépistage de substances se fait sur les organes équins (notamment les reins et le foie) par opposition à des tissus comme les muscles, (ii) par quelle méthodologie et quels mécanismes de dépistage détecte-t-on au juste la phénylbutazone et d’autres substances dans la viande de cheval; c) quelles enquêtes ou études le gouvernement a-t-il menées ou consultées pour déterminer le nombre de propriétaires ou de gardiens de chevaux ayant administré ne serait-ce qu’une fois à un animal sous leurs soins des substances interdites de consommation humaine (i) au Canada, (ii) aux États-Unis; d) quelles enquêtes ou études portant sur l’ensemble de la population chevaline le gouvernement a-t-il menées ou consultées pour déterminer le pourcentage de vétérinaires qui administrent couramment aux chevaux sous leurs soins ne serait-ce qu’une fois dans la vie de l’animal des substances dont l’administration aux animaux de boucherie est interdite (i) au Canada, (ii) aux États-Unis; e) quel était le rapport entre le nombre de chevaux et le nombre d’ordonnances de substances dont ...

To ensure better control of the spread of the bluetongue virus and to reduce the burden on the agricultural sector posed by that disease, the rules on vaccination laid down in Council Directive 2000/75/EC of 20 November 2000 laying down specific provisions for the control and eradication of bluetongue (3) were recently amended by Directive 2012/5/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council (4) to take account of the recent technological developments in vaccine production.

Notes recent developments in the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), in particular the model used to develop the ISO 26000 standard on social responsibility, in which NSBs were entitled to nominate to the respective working group only one representative from each of six stakeholder categories (industry, consumers, government, labour, NGO, SSRO (service, support, research and others)) that were identified; maintains that the use of a similar model should be thoroughly assessed by the ESOs and the Commission, in cooperation with all interested parties, as an alternative for the drafting of standards in areas of exceptional public interest, and that the findings of this assessment should be reported to Parliament; invites the Commission to propose financial means to support such an alternative model;

The top four reporting reasons were: 66 messages (33.8%) were posted because of factors indicating potential for international propagation; 35 messages (17,.9%) to enquire whether epidemiologically linked cases of the same disease had been detected or reported recently in another country; 26 (13.3%) to find out whether the source of an outbreak was suspected to be a food product or any other goods that had been imported from or exported to other countries; and 23 (11.8%) because the event attracted or was likely to attract a high degree of international media or political attention.
