R-11 of the Revised Statutes of Canada, 1970, except that if, upon subsequently ceasing to be a member of the Force, the contributor is entitled under Part I of the Act to an annuity or annual allowance the capitalized value of which is less than the capitalized value of the original pension, in lieu of any other benefit under Part I of the Act whatever right or claim that, but for this subsection, the contributor would have had to the original pension upon subsequently ceasing to be a member of the Force shall thereupon be restored to the contributor, and there shall be paid to the contributor an amount equal to his contributions under Part I of the Act made in respect of his augmenting service.

(4) Whenever any reduction is made in the amount of the unadjusted pensionable earnings of a contributor shown to their account in the Record of Earnings, whether under subsection (3) or otherwise, and it appears from the Record of Earnings that before the making of the reduction the contributor had been informed under section 96 of the amount of the earnings shown to their account in the Record of Earnings, the Minister must notify the contributor in prescribed manner of his or her action and if the contributor is not satisfied with the amount of the reduction so made, they may request that such action be reconsidered by the Minister and sections 81 and 82 apply with any modifications that the circumstances require to that request as though it were an application for a benefit.

(3) If a contributor — other than a contributor who is a member of the reserve force or, in respect of a top-up election under section 14.2, a contributor who was a member of the reserve force — originally exercised an option to pay by instalments, and subsequently the total amount to be paid in respect of the service for which the contributor has elected to pay is verified as a greater or lesser amount than that on which the original instalments were based, the monthly instalment under subsection (1) shall be increased or decreased in accordance with the verified amount, but the instalment shall not be decreased by more than 5% of the original monthly instalment.
