In view of the fact that the project is partially funded by the federal government, can the leader advise this chamber if the Government of Canada has taken note of the very real concerns being expressed by many New Brunswickers over the new route of the southern part of the highway which not only dissects the Canadian Forces Base Gagetown but also is proposed to be located in the middle of the Grand Lake Meadows, one of the large wetland areas of New Brunswick and a major portion of the waterfowl fly-way through the province?
Étant donné que le projet est partiellement financé par le gouvernement fédéral, le leader peut-il dire au Sénat si le gouvernement du Canada a pris bonne note des inquiétudes très réelles exprimées par de nombreux citoyens du Nouveau- Brunswick à propos du nouveau tracé du tronçon sud de la route, qui non seulement coupe en deux la base des Forces canadiennes Gagetown, mais qu'on propose également de faire passer au milieu des baissières entourant le Grand Lake, l'une des grandes zones de terres humides du Nouveau-Brunswick et une halte importante de la route de migration des oiseaux aquatiques passant par la province?
