– (DE) Mr President, I think it is a very good thing that the energy package is back on the table and I should like, first of all, to take this opportunity to remind the House that, as far as the internal market in electricity is concerned, the European Parliament voted with a very, very impressive majority against the third way agreed between Angela Merkel and Nicolas Sarkozy. I think that should not be overlooked in the consultations which lie before us now.
– (DE) Monsieur le Président, je me réjouis que le paquet sur l’énergie soit à nouveau sur la table et je voudrais avant tout profiter de cette occasion pour rappeler au Parlement qu’en ce qui concerne le marché intérieur de l’électricité, le Parlement européen a voté à une majorité extrêmement impressionnante contre la troisième voie préconisée par Angela Merkel et Nicolas Sarkozy.
