Today, 23 May, various leaders of the Democratic opposition in Equatorial Guinea, including Plácido Micó, the leader of one of the most important of the opposition parties, Convergencia para la Democracia Social (Social Democratic Alliance), will be sentenced on the basis of utterly groundless accusation, and without the minimum legal guarantees befitting a constitutional state.
Le 23 mai 2002 sont jugés, en Guinée équatoriale, sur la base d'accusations dénuées de tout fondement et sans que soient accordées les moindres garanties judiciaires, propres à un État de droit, plusieurs dirigeants de l'opposition démocratique, dont Plácido Micó, à la tête de l'une des formations les plus représentatives de cette opposition, la Convergence pour la démocratie sociale (CPDS).
