The purpose of this amendment is to clarify the interaction of Article 4(b) (which relates to a minimum age for the acquisition of pension rights) and 4(d) (which relates to a minimum waiting period for the acquisition of pension rights. The amendment makes it clear that, if the worker has been in the scheme for two years, he must acquire rights unless he has not yet reached the minimum age stipulated. In that case, his rights will not vest until he has reached the stipulated minimum age.
