The actual arrival of consignments of salamanders introduced into the Union from third countries at their place of quarantine in the Union should be recorded in the electronic version of the common veterinary entry document set out in Annex I to Commission Regulation (EC) No 282/2004 and managed by the integrated computerised veterinary system known as Traces, so that the competent veterinary authority of the border inspection post of entry can be reliably informed of their arrival.

2. The Commission is empowered to adopt delegated acts in accordance with Article 144 to supplement this Regulation concerning the conditions for monitoring the transport and arrival of consignments of certain animals and goods, from the border control post of arrival to the establishment at the place of destination in the Union, to the border control post at the place of destination or to the border control post of exit.

Pursuant to Article 17(1) of Regulation (EC) No 1224/2009, masters of Union fishing vessels of 12 metres’ length overall or more engaged in fisheries on stocks subject to a multiannual plan, which are under the obligation to record fishing logbook data electronically, are under the obligation to notify the competent authorities of their flag Member State of their intention to land at least four hours before the estimated time of arrival at port.

1. The operator of a sea-going vessel or of an aircraft entering the customs territory of the Union shall notify the arrival to the customs office of first entry upon arrival of the means of transport.
