This undignified attitude does not befit the democratic Presidency of the EU but has more in common with the sort of political manipulation which we remember all too well from the Eastern part of what is today Germany, in other words from the former German Democratic Republic.
Cette attitude qui manque de dignité ne sied pas à la présidence démocratique de l’Union, mais ressemble davantage au type de manipulation politique auquel avait recours - nous nous en souvenons tous que trop bien - la partie orientale de ce qui est aujourd’hui l’Allemagne, en d’autres termes, l’ancienne République démocratique allemande.
