On 21 February 2012 the Commission received a notification of a proposed concentration pursuant to Article 4 of Council Regulation (EC) No 139/2004 (1) by which the undertaking Vision Technologies Aerospace Ltd, (VTA, Singapore), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd, (‘STE’, Singapore), and Pratt and Whitney Line Maintenance Services Inc (‘PWLMS’, USA) a wholly-owned subsidiary of United Technologies Corporation (‘UTC’, USA) acquire, within the meaning of Article 3(1)(b) of the Merger Regulation, joint control of a newly created joint venture.

Founding Member other than the Union' refers to single legal entities , having individually committed to an own contribution of at least EUR 30 million for the duration of the S2R Joint Undertaking, based on a shared vision, and accepted the present Statutes by signing a letter of endorsement following a decision by the body responsible for their governance.

Calls on the Council and the Commission to clarify what constitutes the European vision of culture, creativity and innovation and to elaborate structured political measures for practical implementation in order to develop European creative industries, incorporating these in a genuine European strategy for culture; considers that, to this end, the identification of the sector of cultural industries and undertakings is a priority;
