Considers it regrettable that child protection is significantly and consistently underfunded in comparison with other humanitarian sectors; calls on the Commission to take specific account of unaccompanied minors in the European Asylum and Migration Fund in order to afford long-term guarantees concerning the protection of children, including in relation to the sections concerning refugees, asylum seekers, the external borders and return, and in the European Social Fund, in particular with a view to supporting the most affected regions; considers that adequate long-term funding should in particular be secured for programmes aiming at the identification of unaccompanied minors, adequate reception, protection, the appointment of legal guardians, family tracing, resettlement, reintegration and the training of border guards and authorities;
10. estime regrettable que la protection des enfants soit considérablement et systématiquement sous-financée par rapport à d'autres domaines de l'action humanitaire; demande à la Commission de prévoir des mesures spécifiques en faveur des mineurs non accompagnés dans le Fonds européen "Asile et migration" afin de faciliter la création de garanties durables pour la protection des enfants, notamment dans les volets concernant les réfugiés, les demandeurs d'asile, les frontières extérieures et les retours, ainsi que dans le Fonds social européen, notamment en vue de soutenir les territoires les plus concernés; estime que des financements adéquats doivent être garantis en particulier pour les programmes visant à l'identification des mineurs non accompagnés, à leur accueil et à leur protection, à la désignation de tuteurs légaux, à la recherche de leur famille, à leur réinstallation et à leur réintégration, ainsi qu'à la formation des gardes-frontières et des autorités;

Is concerned at the phenomenon of unaccompanied minors disappearing; calls on the Member States to gather data and statistics pursuant to Article 4(3)(a) of Regulation 862/2007/EC concerning the identification of, and provision of assistance to, unaccompanied minors in order to combat this phenomenon; believes that the best way to discourage the disappearance of minors is to provide suitable reception facilities for them, where they may also receive an education appropriate to their age (schooling, vocational training, etc.);
50. se déclare inquiet du phénomène de disparitions de mineurs non accompagnés; demande aux États Membres de collecter des données et des statistiques, conformément à l'article 4, paragraphe 3, point a), du règlement 862/2007/CE concernant l'identification et l'assistance portée aux mineurs non accompagnés, ce afin de combattre ce phénomène; estime que le meilleur moyen de décourager la disparition des mineurs est de mettre en place des structures adéquates permettant de les accueillir et de leur offrir également une formation correspondant à leur âge (scolarisation, formation professionnelle, etc.);

Unaccompanied minors may be sent back to their country of origin or to a third country prepared to admit them only if, on their arrival, adequate reception and care are available.
