The possibility of extending the application of the 112-based eCall in-vehicle system requirement in the near future to include other vehicle categories, such as heavy goods vehicles, buses and coaches, powered two-wheelers and agricultural tractors, should be further assessed by the Commission with a view to presenting, if appropriate, a legislative proposal to that effect.
