IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

Twelve trans-national projects have received grants ranging from €125 000 to €200 000 (details below) as part of a package of 'preparatory actions' intended to pave the way for the launch of an EU sub-programme for sport, which would also support grassroots campaigns to promote physical activity, social inclusion through sport, and the fight against doping.
Douze projets transnationaux ont obtenu des subventions comprises entre 125 000 et 200 000 euros (voir détails ci-dessous) dans le cadre d’un ensemble d’«actions préparatoires» destinées à faciliter le lancement d’un sous-programme de l’Union européenne pour le sport, qui soutiendra aussi des campagnes locales de promotion de l’activité physique, de l’inclusion sociale par le sport, et de la lutte contre le dopage.

In concrete terms and apart from the projects that have already been identified, the Commission is asking the Twelve for clear political support so that it can, in conjunction with all the parties concerned, pursue four essential lines of action: - the regular establishment of trans-European network master plans for transport, energy and telecommunications; - preparation of an annual European standardization programme in order to ensure network interoperability and prevent the emergence of divergent national standards; - collection of all the necessary data for evaluating network requirements and identifying the technical and financial constraints hindering network development; - execution of feasibility studies to identify projects of European interest.
Concrètement - outre les projets déjà identifiés - la Commission demande aux Douze un appui politique clair afin qu'elle puisse, avec tous les milieux concernés, dégager quatre éléments essentiels : - l'établissement à intervalles réguliers de schémas directeurs de réseaux transeuropéens pour les transports, l'énergie et les télécommunications - 2 - - la fixation d'un programme annuel de normalisation européenne afin d'assurer l'interopérabilité des réseaux et pour éviter l'apparition de normes nationales disparates; - la collecte de toutes les données nécessaires pour évaluer les besoins de réseaux et identifier les embûches techniques et financières qui affectent l'émergence de tels réseaux ; - l'établissement d'études de faisabilité qui permettent d'identifier les projets d'intérêt européen.
