– (FR) I voted in favour of the report by my esteemed German colleague and friend, Mr Böge, calling on the European Parliament to approve the proposal for a decision on mobilisation of the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) to provide EUR 4.1 million in commitment and payment appropriations to help the Spanish and Portuguese textile sectors (Catalonia and Norte-Centro regions). The aim is to provide aid for the workers affected by the consequences of the significant changes in the structure of international trade and to help them re-enter the labour market.
– J’ai voté le rapport de mon excellent collègue allemand et ami Reimer Böge appelant le Parlement européen à approuver la proposition de décision sur la mobilisation du Fonds européen d’ajustement à la mondialisation (FEM) à hauteur de 4,1 millions d’euros en crédits d’engagement et de paiement afin de venir en aide au secteur textile espagnol et portugais (régions de Catalogne et du Norte-Centro), pour apporter une aide aux travailleurs touchés par les conséquences des modifications notables de la structure du commerce mondial et aider leur réinsertion sur le marché du travail.

– (FR) I voted in favour of the report by my German colleague Helmuth Markov, adopted unanimously in the Committee on International Trade, which proposes amending, in accordance with the consultation procedure, the proposal for a Council regulation applying a scheme of generalised tariff preferences for the period from 1 January 2009 to 31 December 2011 and amending various Regulations.
– J’ai voté en faveur du rapport de mon collègue Allemand Helmuth Markov, voté à l’unanimité au sein de la commission du commerce international et qui propose de modifier, selon la procédure de consultation la proposition de règlement du conseil portant application d’un schéma de préférences tarifaires généralisées pour la période allant du 1er janvier 2009 au 31 décembre 2011 et modifiant divers règlements.

(54) The meetings in March and April involved discussions on price increases but seem to have been inconclusive. A letter from Løgstør to Ke-Kelit of 17 March 1994 refers to meetings with 'colleagues` to discuss the price situation but was not optimistic about finding a solution until later in the year: Appendix 55. However, following the meeting on 3 May 1994 at the Hanover Trade Fair attended by ABB, Henss, Pan-Isovit and Løgstør a price list was drawn up which was to be used as the basis for all supplies to the German market (Appendix 56; ABB's Article 11 Reply pp. 42 and 43).
