In my opinion, this is a foundation stone which can improve and expand the scope of the existing Intertransplant, and if it has been said here that this is clearly the first standard that can be adopted at first reading following adoption of the Treaty of Lisbon, then I am pleased about that. However, I am even more pleased that this is a topic which is genuinely European. I value that highly.
Je vois en ces propositions la pierre angulaire d’une possible amélioration et extension de la portée de l’instrument existant d’Intertransplant. Par ailleurs, si, comme je l’ai entendu dire ici, ces textes sont véritablement les premiers qui pourront être adoptés en première lecture depuis l’entrée en vigueur du traité de Lisbonne, je m’en réjouis. Je me réjouis toutefois encore plus du fait que ce sujet est authentiquement européen.
