The bill introduces changes to the Canada Post Corporation Act to prohibit the post office from delivering a game card or similar item that is not in an envelope where the recipient is invited to participate in a game of chance but must first pay a sum of money or incur telephone charges in order to collect a prize.
Le projet de loi modifierait la Loi sur la Société canadienne des postes afin d'interdire à cette dernière de transmettre une carte de jeu ou un article semblable qui n'est pas inséré dans une enveloppe renfermant une lettre invitant le destinataire à participer à un jeu de hasard, mais obligeant le destinataire à payer une somme d'argent d'abord ou à engager des frais de téléphone pour obtenir un prix.
