Where a sub-installation has had a significant capacity change between 1 January 2005 and 30 June 2011, Member States shall require the operator to submit in addition to the initial installed capacity of that sub-installation, determined in accordance with paragraph 3, until the start of changed operation, the added or, where applicable, the reduced capacity as well as the installed capacity of the sub-installation after having had a significant capacity change determined on the basis of the average of the 2 highest monthly production volumes within the first 6 months following the start of changed operation.
4. (l)‘added capacity’ means the difference between the initial installed capacity of a sub-installation and the installed capacity of that same sub-installation after having had a significant extension determined on the basis of the average of the 2 highest monthly production volumes within the first 6 months following the start of changed operation.

Member States shall consider this installed capacity of the sub-installation after having had a significant capacity extension as the sub-installation’s initial installed capacity when assessing any subsequent significant capacity change.
