Something else that is totally unacceptable is what Russia and Gazprom are trying to do with Nord Stream, namely to ride roughshod over Swedish environmental legislation and European legislation relating to the safety of the Baltic Sea, despite the fact that this inland sea already has incredibly large areas of dead bottoms. This is totally unacceptable.
Un autre élément inacceptable est l’attitude adoptée par la Russie et Gazprom dans le cadre du gazoduc Nord Stream en passant outre la législation environnementale suédoise et la législation européenne en matière de sécurité de la mer Baltique, et ce alors que le fond de cette mer intérieure présente déjà un nombre incroyable de zones mortes. C’est totalement inacceptable.

19. Calls on the Member States and the Commission to thoroughly consider the environmental aspects before approving further major infrastructure investments; in particular, urges them to consider the threat to ecosystems and human life represented by the planned North European Pipe Line/Nord Stream due to the existence of ammunition and weapons dumps on the seabed along the path of the planned pipeline at the bottom of the Baltic Sea;
19. demande aux États membres et à la Commission d'étudier en profondeur les aspects environnementaux avant d'approuver de nouveaux investissements majeurs; les prie notamment de considérer la menace pour les écosystèmes et la vie humaine que représente le projet de gazoduc nord-européen Nordstream, en raison de la présence d’amas de munitions et d’armes au fond de la mer Baltique, le long de l'itinéraire prévu pour ce gazoduc;

28. Calls on the Member States and the Commission to ensure that a full environmental impact assessment is carried out before deciding on major infrastructure investments; in particular, urges them to consider the threat to ecosystems and human life represented by the planned North European Pipe Line/Nord Stream due to the existence of ammunition and weapons dumps on the seabed along the path of the planned pipeline at the bottom of the Baltic Sea; points out that, should a major ecological disaster occur, the financial responsibility should lie with the parties involved;
28. demande aux États membres et à la Commission de veiller à ce qu'une évaluation d'impact sur l'environnement détaillée soit réalisée avant l'approbation d'investissements majeurs portant sur des investissements; les prie notamment de considérer la menace pour les écosystèmes et la vie humaine que représente le projet de gazoduc nord-européen Nordstream, en raison de la présence d’amas de munitions et d’armes au fond de la mer Baltique, le long de l'itinéraire prévu pour ce gazoduc; souligne qu'en cas de catastrophe écologique, la responsabilité financière incombera aux parties concernées;
