The main aim of this proposal is to tackle the problem of supplying non-documentary material to the audio-visual media primarily by encouraging the development of the European cinema and programme industry. The industry is currently facing strong competition from productions originating in non-member countries and is liable to be still further beleaguered following the introduction and spread of cable and satellite broadcasting.
L'objectif principal de ce projet est de contribuer a la solution du probleme de l'alimentation des media audiovisuels en programmes de fiction, notamment en stimulant le developpement de l'industrie cinematographique et des programmes europeennes : une industrie aujourd'hui fortement concurrencee par les productions en provenance des pays tiers et qui risque de l'etre encore davantage suite a l'introduction et a l'extension des transmissions par cable et par satellite.
