The failure of the Greek authorities to provide the Commission with statistical data in accordance with Article 3 of the Protocol on the Excessive Deficit Procedure annexed to the EU Treaty, Council Regulation 3605/93 on the application of the said Protocol and Council Regulation 2223/96 on the European system of national and regional Accounts in the Community (ESA95) has led the Commission to launch a letter of formal notice to the Greek authorities.
