Innovation is the process of taking something, perhaps a currently existing product, and improving it: perhaps finding a new market for that product; improving the line on which that product is made; improving the quality of the product by using newer, more advanced materials or software to advance the product; and improving productivity, which, as I’ve always said, is not working harder but working smarter.
On entend par innovation le fait de prendre quelque chose, souvent un produit qui existe déjà, et de l'améliorer. Il peut s'agir de trouver un nouveau débouché pour ce produit, d'améliorer son procédé de fabrication, d'améliorer la qualité de ce produit à l'aide de nouveaux matériaux plus perfectionnés ou de nouveaux logiciels, et d'améliorer la productivité qui consiste, comme je l'ai souvent dit, non pas à travailler davantage mais à travailler plus intelligemment.
