I would say that adopting this directive today is a major decision and we owe it to the very remarkable efforts of our rapporteur, Mr Lambsdorff, our shadow rapporteur, Charlotte Cederschiöld, whom I thank and naturally, the French Presidency who, at the end of last year, made great efforts to achieve a compromise.
Je voudrais dire que l’adoption, aujourd’hui, de cette directive est une décision importante et nous la devons aux efforts très remarquables de notre rapporteur, M. Lambsdorff, de notre rapporteure fictive, Charlotte Cederschiöld, que je remercie et naturellement de la Présidence française qui, à la fin de l’année dernière, a fait de très grands efforts pour qu’on aboutisse à un compromis.
