Accordingly, harmonised standards the references to which have been published under Directive 1999/5/EC, as lastly listed in Commission Communication published in the Official Journal of the European Union C 249 of 8 July 2016, p. 1, and corrected by Corrigendum published in the Official Journal of the European Union C 342 of 17 September 2016, p. 15, and Corrigendum published in the Official Journal of the European Union C 403 of 1 November 2016, p. 26, continue to confer a presumption of conformity with that Directive until 12 June 2017.

Requests the Joint Undertaking to adopt comprehensive policies for the management of conflict of interest situations such as divestment of the interest by the public official, recusal of the public official from involvement in an affected decision-making process, restriction of access by the affected public official to particular information, rearrangement of the public official's duties or resignation of the public official from their office until the end of September 2015;

11. Observes with concern that the issue of conflicts of interests is extremely relevant with regards to the members of the panel of experts who are called to test and authorise the products; expresses its deep concern about the two revolving door cases identified by the Agency in 2013 and recommends that the Agency further strengthen its independence policy, especially in publishing the CVs and declarations of interests of managers, members of the Advisory Board and the panel of experts by the end of September 2015; calls upon the Agency to adopt comprehensive policies for the management of situations where conflicts of interests arrive, such as the divestment of a public official's interests, the recusal of the public official from involvement in an affected decision-making process, the restriction of access by the affected public official to particular information and the rearrangement of the public official's duties or the resignation of the public official from their office;

The Convention criminalises corruption involving public officials, requiring Member States to be able to investigate and prosecute cases, even when they involve an official of another Member State of the European Union. The Convention is in force since September 2005.
