Illegal immigration to Europe is a complex and multidimensional phenomenon that affects the whole of the European Union economically and socially. As such, it needs to be addressed by the European institutions from a strategic point of view ranging from development cooperation with countries of origin and trade policy to border control measures, via policy on negotiating readmission agreements, the orderly management of migration flows and social reception measures, the integration of legal immigrants and the expulsion of illegal immigrants, whilst ensuring the strictest respect for human rights.

In view of this serious precedent and the application of discriminatory ‘preferences’ among immigrants, can the Commissioner for Justice and Home Affairs say what he thinks of this lack of coordination and ‘preferential’ treatment in favour of immigrants from central and eastern Europe at the expense of those from the Maghreb countries; whether this is the ‘enlargement model’ towards which the European Union is moving; how we can ensure that in future the central government delegate in Andalusia does not declare the problem ‘solved’ and state the obvious, claiming that the problem was caused by the fact that there were more immigrants than jobs available and whether the Commission might supervise the allocation of work contracts of this kind in order to avoid clashes between east and south in the sphere of immigration?
Considérant ce précédent grave et la pratique de "préférences" discriminatoires entre immigrés, le membre de la Commission responsable de la justice et des affaires intérieures pourrait-il répondre aux questions suivantes : comment juge-t-il ce manque de coordination et cette opposition "préférentielle" entre immigrés d'Europe centrale et d'Europe de l'Est et personnes originaires du Maghreb ; est-ce là l'"élargissement modèle'" vers lequel l'Union européenne se dirige ; comment éviter à l'avenir que le délégué du gouvernement en Andalousie ne puisse annoncer que le problème est "résolu" et le réduire à un truisme en faisant observer que "le problème est apparu parce que le nombre d'immigrés régularisés est supérieur à celui des immigrés dont on a besoin pour travailler" ; la Commission ne pourrait-elle pas contrôler les embauches de ce type afin d'éviter les confrontations Est-Sud en matière d'immigration ?

These current waves of immigrants, this modern slave trade suits big business in the countries in which the immigrants end up just fine. Can there by any doubt that what we have here is an inhumane interplay of the interests of slave traders, immigrants, war-mongering imperialists and those who exploit immigrants in the so-called host countries who, basically, as modern-day slave-masters, encourage unemployment and illegal immigration in order to attack the interests and rights of local workers in the coarsest manner?
