12. In section 11, “valuation adjustment” at a particular day means the amount obtained when the net value of Canada’s assets and liabilities with respect to the International Monetary Fund, as then recorded in the Public Accounts of Canada, is subtracted from the net value of those assets and liabilities at the then current rate of exchange for Canadian dollars.

(11) For the purposes of this section, the fair market value on valuation day of any property prescribed to be a publicly-traded share or security shall be deemed to be the greater of the amount, if any, prescribed in respect of that property and the fair market value of that property, otherwise determined, on valuation day.

(2) The power of the Chief Administrator of the Administrative Tribunals Support Service of Canada under subsection 11(2) of the Administrative Tribunals Support Service of Canada Act may be exercised to engage the services of valuation experts to assist the Review Board in making determinations pursuant to section 30 respecting fair cash offers to purchase or pursuant to section 32 respecting the fair market value of objects disposed of, or proposed to be disposed of, to institutions or public authorities.
