I wish to commend the Council for having this time been a little less rigid than it often appears and for having argued more strongly for the cut-backs that have been made. The Council has thus accepted the desired positions on enlargement and on new tasks but has, in return, cut back the amounts by 5%, as Mrs Schreyer pointed out.
Je tiens à féliciter le Conseil de s’être montré, cette fois-ci, un peu moins rigide qu’il n’apparaît bien souvent, et d’avoir mieux argumenté à propos des réductions budgétaires effectuées. Le Conseil a donc accepté les positions souhaitées à propos de l’élargissement et des nouvelles tâches, mais il a, en contrepartie, réduit les montants de 5%, comme l’a souligné Mme Schreyer.
