In August 2015, the EU held a dialogue with the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities for the first time ever over the implementation by the EU of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD).

Welcomes the apologies offered by the Minister of Justice Mehmet Ali Sahin on behalf of the government to the family of Engin Ceber, who died in prison as a consequence of abuse; joins the Human Rights Committee of the Turkish Parliament in its concern over the failure of the judiciary to prosecute cases of torture and ill-treatment, the number of which is growing; calls on the Turkish government to undertake further systematic efforts to eliminate torture and ill-treatment, inside and outside official places of detention, and to end the culture of impunity; stresses in this regard that ratification and implementation of the Optional Protocol of the UN Convention against Torture would increase considerably the credibility of these efforts; is also concerned about excessive use of police force in dealing with public demonstrations;
14. se félicite des excuses présentées au nom du gouvernement par le ministre de la justice, Mehmet Ali Sahin, à la famille de Engin Ceber, décédé en prison des suites de mauvais traitements; partage les inquiétudes de la commission des droits de l'homme du parlement turc devant l'incapacité du corps judiciaire à intenter des poursuites dans les cas, de plus en plus nombreux, de torture et de mauvais traitement; invite le gouvernement turc à consentir des efforts systématiques afin de mettre un terme aux actes de torture et aux mauvais traitements perpétrés en dehors et à l'intérieur des centres de détention et de mettre fin à la culture de l'impunité; souligne à cet égard que la ratification et la mise en œuvre du Protocole facultatif à la Convention contre la torture et autres peines ou traitements cruels, inhumains ou dégradants renforcerait nettement la crédibilité de ces efforts; est également préoccupé par le recours excessif à la force policière pour faire face aux manifestations publiques;

By 17 June 2010, the Commission shall submit to the European Parliament, the Council and the European Economic and Social Committee a report on the question of the effectiveness of an assignment or subrogation of a claim against third parties and the priority of the assigned or subrogated claim over a right of another person.

Au plus tard le 17 juin 2010, la Commission présente au Parlement européen, au Conseil et au Comité économique et social européen un rapport relatif à la question de l'opposabilité d'une cession ou subrogation aux tiers, ainsi que du rang de la créance faisant l'objet de ladite cession ou subrogation par rapport aux droits détenus par d'autres personnes.

The Agency hosted several groups of EU parliamentarians over the year, including members of the Delegation for Relations with South-East Europe, the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Human Rights, Common Security and Defence Policy, the Committee on Budgets, and the Committee on Budgetary Control.
L'Agence a accueilli plusieurs groupes de parlementaires européens tout au long de l'année, notamment des membres de la délégation pour les relations avec l'Europe du Sud-Est, la commission des affaires étrangères, des droits de l'homme, de la sécurité commune et de la politique de défense, la commission des budgets et la commission du contrôle budgétaire.

In this context, the Committee regrets that it has so far not been possible to convince a larger number of member countries that the fundamental workers' rights adopted by the ILO, the 'core labour standards` (freedom of association and the right to engage in collective bargaining; outlawing of forced labour and child labour; and a ban on all forms of discrimination over careers and employment) should also form part of the principles of international trade.
Il regrette que l'on ne soit pas parvenu jusqu'à présent à convaincre un plus grand nombre d'États membres de la nécessité de faire des droits sociaux fondamentaux («Core Labour Standards») une partie intégrante des principes du commerce international: liberté d'association et droit de pratiquer la négociation collective, interdiction du travail forcé et du travail des enfants, interdiction de toute forme de discrimination professionnelle et de discrimination en matière d'emploi.
