The Commissioner was speaking at the Health Forum organised by the Greek Presidency on 13/14 May in Rhodes. Commissioner Flynn then went on to say that much heart disease was preventable because the evidence showed that behavioural factors such as diet and tobacco consumption played a key role in their development, and that effective health information and education could be effective in reducing the risks involved.
