TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

Pursuant to Standing Order 108 (2) the Committee resumed consideration of Canada's position on Persistent Organic Pollutants in view of the Fourth Session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee, chaired by Canada in Bonn, Germany, March 20-25, 2000 (see Minutes of Proceedings, Tuesday, February 15, 2000 (Meeting No.21)).
Conformément à l'article 108 (2) du Règlement, le Comité reprend l'étude de la position canadienne sur les polluants organiques persistants en prévision de la 4e réunion, présidé par le Canada, à Bonn (Allemagne) du 20 au 25 mars 2000, du Comité international de négociation (CIN) (voir le Procès-verbal du mardi 15 février 2000, séance n 21).

The CoR expects a strong political signal from the Heads of State and Government in support of resuming intergovernmental negotiation, said Peter Straub, president of the CoR at the extraordinary meeting of the Bureau in Dublin on 19 March 2004.

Should intergovernmental negotiation be put on hold for an extended period, the CoR calls on all members of the Convention to launch a common initiative to resume the constitutional process.
En cas d'impasse prolongée du processus de négociation intergouvernementale, le CdR invite d'ailleurs toutes les composantes de la Convention à lancer une initiative commune pour relancer le processus constitutionnel.
