Both sides acknowledged the need to do further work in this respect. ECOWAS thanked the EU for its support, mentioning particularly the most recent programmes in the fields of small arms (transformation of the ECOWAS Moratorium into a legally binding instrument and support the ECOSAP Programme) and conflict prevention.
La CEDEAO a remercié l’UE pour son soutien, notant en particulier les récents programmes relatifs aux armes légères (transformation du moratoire de la CEDEAO en document légalement contraignant et appui du programme ECOSAP) et à la prévention des conflits.
