– (FR) I voted in favour of the report by my esteemed German colleague Reimer Böge, which proposes approving as it stands the Commission proposal to mobilise the European Union Solidarity Fund to assist Slovenia and Greece, which in 2007 were affected by floods and forest fires respectively, to the tune of around EUR 98 million, which should be the subject of an amended budget adopted in parallel.
– J’ai voté le rapport de mon excellent collègue Allemand Reimer Böge, qui propose d’approuver telle quelle la proposition de la Commission destinée à mobiliser le fonds de solidarité de l'Union européenne en vue de venir en aide à la Slovénie et à la Grèce touchées en 2007, respectivement, par des inondations et des incendies de forêt pour un montant total d’environ 98 millions d’euros qui doit faire l’objet d’un budget rectificatif adopté parallèlement.

This was the first time we have been able to participate in the committee debate, which proved to be remarkably informative, thought-provoking and, although not entirely free from tensions, certainly pointed the way forward and I congratulate Mr Reimer Böge on his chairmanship of this debate and on the balanced outcome that was achieved.
C’était la première fois que nous avons pu participer aux débats au sein de la commission, qui se sont avérés remarquablement informatifs, stimulants et qui, bien que non entièrement libres de tensions, ont certainement indiqué le chemin à suivre.
