whereas Article 45(2) of the SRM Regulation provides that the Board should submit an annual report to, inter alia, Parliament, on the performance of the tasks conferred on the Board by that Regulation; whereas that report should in particular cover Board activities as regards resolution planning, assessments of resolvability, determinations of minimum requirements for own funds and eligible liabilities, resolution actions, and the exercise of other duties and powers under the SRM Regulation; whereas that report should also cover detailed information regarding the Single Resolution Fund (the Fund), in particular the evolution of the available financial means of the Fund and any decisions concerning the period for reaching the target level and the calculation of contributions in accordance with Articles 69 to 71 of the SRM Regulation; borrowing, lending and other financial arrangements in accordance with Articles 72 to 74 of the SRM Regulation; the administration and investment strategy of the Fund, in accordance with Article 75 of the SRM Regulation and the applicable Commission delegated acts; the specific conditions of use of the Fund for an individual resolution scheme in accordance with Articles 76 to 78 of the SRM Regulation; the application of the principles of division into national compartments and of progressive merger during the transitional period provided for in Article 3(1)(37) of the SRM Regulation, in accordance with Article 77 of the SRM Regulation, and the use of deposit guarantee schemes in accordance with Article 79 of the SRM Regulation;
considérant que l'article 45, paragraphe 2, du règlement relatif au MRU prévoit la présentation par le CRU d'un rapport annuel, notamment au Parlement, sur l'accomplissement des tâches que lui confère ce règlement; que ce rapport devrait traiter en particulier des activités du CRU en matière de planification de la résolution, d'évaluation de la résolvabilité, de détermination des exigences minimales de fonds propres et d'engagements éligibles, de mesures de résolution ainsi que d'exercice des autres pouvoirs et de réalisation d'autres missions que lui confère le règlement relatif au MRU; qu'il y a lieu que ce rapport propose également des informations détaillées sur le Fonds de résolution unique (ci-après dénommé «Fonds»), notamment sur l'évolution des moyens financiers disponibles du Fonds et sur toute décision concernant le calendrier prévu pour atteindre le niveau cible et le calcul des contributions, conformément aux articles 69 à 71 du règlement relatif au MRU; les emprunts, prêts et autres arrangements financiers, conformément aux articles 72 à 74 du règlement relatif au MRU; la stratégie d'administration et d'investissement du Fonds, conformément à l'article 75 du règlement relatif au MRU et aux actes délégués de la Commission y afférents; les conditions particulières d'utilisation du Fonds pour un plan individuel de résolution, conformément aux articles 76 à 78 du règlement relatif au MRU; l'application des principes de division en compartiments nationaux et de fusion progressive pendant la période de transition prévue à l'article 3, paragraphe 1, point 37), du règlement relatif au MRU, conformément à l'article 77 dudit règlement, et l'utilisation du système de garantie des dépôts conformément à l'article 79 dudit règlement;

(a) the examination of a new drug submission, a supplement to a new drug submission, an abbreviated new drug submission or a supplement to an abbreviated new drug submission referred to in section C.08.002, C.08.002.1 or C.08.003 of the Food and Drug Regulations, an application in respect of an establishment licence under those Regulations or an application for a drug identification number under section C.01.014.1 of those Regulations;

Whereas, pursuant to subsection 332(1) of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999Footnote , the Minister of the Environment published in the Canada Gazette, Part I, on February 17, 2001 a copy of the proposed Regulations Respecting Applications for Permits for Disposal at Sea under the title Regulations Respecting the Form and Content of an Application for a Permit for Disposal at Sea, substantially in the annexed form, and persons were given an opportunity to file comments with respect to the proposed Regulations or to file a notice of objection requesting that a board of review be established and stating the reasons for the objection;

In the matter of SOR/94-651 — Energy Efficiency Regulations; SOR/2009-94 — Regulations Amending the Pest Control Products Incident Reporting Regulations (Miscellaneous Program); SOR/2009-163 — Regulations Amending the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (Miscellaneous Program); SOR/2009-252 — Regulations Amending the Regulations Respecting Applications for Permits for Disposal at Sea (Miscellaneous Program); and SOR/2009-286 — Regulations Amending the Letter Mail Regulations, it was agreed that counsel to the committee review their status at a later date and inform the committee of the action taken.

The 30-day regulatory consultation period, during which Health Canada received comments from 139 individuals and groups, resulted in the following changes being made to the proposed regulations: the application process would be managed by the individual applicant instead of by a medical practitioner; restrictions on growing locations would be relaxed and would no longer include a one-kilometre restriction on cultivation outdoors near schools and other places frequented by children; the formula to calculate the number of plants permitted under a licence to produce would be adjusted to reflect estimated indoor and outdoor growing yields and margins of error; and transitional provisions would be included to extend all current exemptions by six months with the objective of ensuring patients would be afforded ample opportunity to comply with the new regulations.[23]
Suite à la période de consultation de 30 jours, période durant laquelle Santé Canada a reçu des commentaires de 139 personnes et groupes, les changements suivants ont été apportés aux règlements proposés : le processus d’application serait géré par le requérant individuel plutôt que par le médecin ; les restrictions touchant les terres de production seraient moins sévères et ne comprendraient plus la limite de un kilomètre pour la culture à l’extérieur près des écoles et d’autres endroits fréquentés par des enfants ; la formule servant à calculer le nombre de plants permis par la licence de production serait rajustée pour refléter les récoltes à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur, ainsi que les marges d’erreur ; et des dispositions transitoires seraient comprises et toucheraient toutes les exemptions courantes dans un délai de six mois, pour que tous les patients puissent avoir l’occasion de se conformer aux nouveaux règlements.[23]

Insofar as this Regulation lays down general rules necessary for enabling the implementation of Specific Regulations which provide for its applicability to these Specific Regulations and which constitute acts building upon the Schengen acquis in relation to countries to which these Specific Regulations are applicable on the basis of relevant Protocols annexed to the TEU and to the TFEU or on the basis of the relevant Agreements, this Regulation should be applied together with these Specific Regulations.
Dans la mesure où le présent règlement établit les règles générales nécessaires pour permettre la mise en œuvre des règlements spécifiques qui prévoient la manière dont il s’applique à ces règlements spécifiques, et qui constituent des actes fondés sur l’acquis de Schengen en ce qui concerne les pays auxquels lesdits règlements spécifiques s’appliquent sur la base des protocoles pertinents annexés au traité sur l’Union européenne et au traité sur le fonctionnement de l’Union européenne ou sur la base des accords pertinents, il convient que le présent règlement soit appliqué en liaison avec lesdits règlements spécifiques.

Pursuant to Regulation No 19/65/EEC of 2 March 1965 of the Council on the application of Article 85(3) of the Treaty to certain categories of agreements and concerted practices (34), the Commission will have to set a transitional period of not less than six months before a regulation disapplying the Block Exemption Regulation becomes applicable. This should allow the undertakings concerned to adapt their agreements to take account of the regulation disapplying the Block Exemption Regulation.
Conformément au règlement no 19/65/CEE du Conseil du 2 mars 1965 concernant l'application de l'article 85 paragraphe 3 du traité à des catégories d'accords et de pratiques concertées (34), la Commission devra prévoir une période transitoire de six mois au moins avant qu'un règlement d'exclusion du champ d'application du règlement d'exemption par catégorie ne devienne applicable, afin de permettre aux entreprises concernées d'adapter leurs accords pour tenir compte du règlement d'exclusion du champ d'application du règlement d'exemption par catégorie.

The Commission takes note of non-compliance with European regulations, as applicable, and, having regard to the fatal accident to Yemenia Yemen Airways flight 626 on 30 June, decided on 1 July 2009 to launch formal consultations with Yemenia Yemen Airways pursuant to Article 7 of Regulation (EC) No 2111/2005 as well as the competent authorities of Yemen pursuant to Article 3 of Regulation (EC) No 473/2006 in order to assess compliance of the operations and maintenance of the aforementioned carrier with applicable ICAO standards and reserves itself the right to take urgent measures, if appropriate.
La Commission prend note de l’infraction à la réglementation européenne applicable et a décidé le 1er juillet 2009, le lendemain de l’accident du vol 626 de Yemenia Yemen Airways, d’entamer des discussions officielles avec le transporteur, conformément à l’article 7 du règlement (CE) no 2111/2005, ainsi qu’avec les autorités compétentes du Yémen, conformément à l’article 3 du règlement (CE) no 473/2006, afin d’évaluer la conformité des activités et de l’entretien du transporteur en question avec les normes applicables de l’OACI. Subject to the transitional provisions of this Regulation, Member States should, in matters relating to maintenance obligations, apply the provisions of this Regulation on jurisdiction, recognition, enforceability and enforcement of decisions and on legal aid instead of those of Regulation (EC) No 44/2001 as from the date on which this Regulation becomes applicable.
Sous réserve des dispositions transitoires du présent règlement, les États membres devraient, en matière d’obligations alimentaires, appliquer les dispositions du présent règlement sur la compétence, sur la reconnaissance, la force exécutoire et l’exécution des décisions et sur l’aide judiciaire à la place de celles du règlement (CE) no 44/2001 à compter de la date d’application du présent règlement.

Subclause 16(4) of Bill C-9 stipulates that in order to exploit the opportunities for improvements in employment identified in a designated area or community, regulations specially applicable to that area or community may be made that vary from regulations of general application to Quebec.
