European Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion László Andor commented "World production patterns of mobile phones are changing, as European manufacturers move production closer to the fastest growing markets, now located in AsiaThis proposal for some 3 million euros from Europe's Globalisation Fund aims to help the former Nokia workers adapt their skills, find new jobs and build a better future".
Le commissaire européen à l’emploi, aux affaires sociales et à l’inclusion, M. László Andor, a déclaré: «Les modèles de production des téléphones portables sont en pleine mutation, à l’heure où les fabricants européens rapprochent leurs usines des marchés à plus forte croissance, désormais situés en Asie. Cette intervention de près de 3 millions d’euros du Fonds européen d’ajustement à la mondialisation vise à aider les travailleurs licenciés par Nokia à adapter leurs compétences, à trouver un nouvel emploi et à se forger un avenir meilleur».
