This gives me, the Bloc members and all members from Quebec here an opportunity to appreciate the extent of the vision of the political leaders, those who were working with them at the time—and I would mention Jacques Parizeau at the top of the list—in giving Quebec an instrument that ensured the people of Quebec the best return on their pensions and that provided for economic growth.
Alors, pour moi, pour les députés du Bloc québécois et pour tous les députés québécois qui sont ici, c'est une occasion de rappeler à quel point les dirigeants politiques, ceux qui travaillaient avec eux à ce moment-là—et je peux parler de Jacques Parizeau au premier chef—ont eu la vision de donner au Québec un instrument, non seulement pour maximiser le rendement des rentes des citoyens du Québec, mais également pour en faire un instrument de développement économique.
