EU leaders and social partners highlighted the urgent need to rebuild confidence in European integration at the Tripartite Social Summit held this morning. European workers' and employer's representatives joined the President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso, the President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy and the Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras – for the Presidency of the Council – at the Summit, ahead of the European Council.
Les chefs d’État ou de gouvernement et les partenaires sociaux de l’Union européenne ont mis en avant le besoin urgent de rétablir la confiance dans l’intégration européenne lors du Sommet tripartite social de ce matin, qui réunissait les représentants des employeurs et des travailleurs européens, le président de la Commission européenne, M. José Manuel Barroso, le président du Conseil européen, M. Herman Van Rompuy, ainsi que le Premier ministre grec, M. Antonis Samaras, en sa qualité de représentant de la présidence grecque du Conseil.
