1. On 23 February 2018 an international high-level conference on the Sahel was held in Brussels under the aegis of Mahamadou Issoufou, President of the Republic of Niger and President-in-office of the G5 Sahel, Moussa Faki Mahamat, Chairperson of the African Union Commission, António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations and Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Commission, at the end of which the following conclusions were drawn:
1. Le 23 février 2018, une Conférence internationale de Haut niveau sur le Sahel s'est tenue à Bruxelles sous l'égide du Président de la République du Niger, Président en exercice du G5 Sahel, Issoufou Mahamadou, du Président de la Commission de l'Union Africaine, Moussa Faki Mahamat, du Secrétaire Général des Nations Unies, António Guterres et du président de la Commission européenne, Jean-Claude Juncker, au terme de laquelle les conclusions suivantes ont été tirées :

The President condemned the recent terrorist attacks in a number of European towns and cities and expressed Parliament's solidarity with the victims of terrorism and of the recent natural disasters.
