I take this opportunity to pay tribute to all women and men who work in or run small and medium size businesses in my riding of Trois-Rivières, which includes the municipalities of Trois-Rivières; Trois-Rivières-Ouest; Pointe-du-Lac; Yamachiche, where there is an impressive small business called Dufresne et Fils, which does business all across the North American continent.
J'aimerais profiter de cette occasion pour rendre hommage et saluer tous ceux, tant les propriétaires de petites et moyennes entreprises que ceux qui y oeuvrent, les employés, tant féminins que masculins, de mon comté de Trois-Rivières, en commençant par la municipalité de Trois-Rivières, Trois-Rivières-Ouest, Pointe-du-Lac, Yamachiche où nous avons une belle et impressionnante PME qui s'appelle Dufresne et Fils, qui oeuvre sur tout le continent nord-américain.

In December, for the third consecutive year, Alexandre Marchand of Pointe-du-Lac was named athlete of the year by the Fédération d'athlétisme du Québec, a title he had also won in 1994, as well as earning the Fred Tees trophy awarded to the Canadian university athlete of the year.
En décembre dernier, et ce, pour la troisième année consécutive, Alexandre Marchand, de Pointe-du-Lac, a été désigné athlète de l'année par la Fédération d'athlétisme du Québec, titre qu'il avait également remporté en 1994, en plus de se voir décerner le trophée Fred Tees remis à l'athlète universitaire canadien de l'année.
