The present acquisition, which is being carried out through the notifying parties' joint subsidiary in Italy, AC Adivar e Comifar SpA, constitutes a further step in the overall reorganisation of the pharmaceutical and parapharmaceutical wholesale distribution activities of Angelini and Phoenix in Italy which begun with the creation of the AC joint venture itself (cleared by the Commission on 6 July 2001).
L'opération en cause, réalisée par la filiale commune des parties notifiantes en Italie, AC Adivar e Comifar SpA, constitue un pas de plus dans la réorganisation globale du commerce de gros des produits pharmaceutiques et parapharmaceutiques d'Angelini et de Pheonix en Italie, entamée avec la création de l'entreprise commune AC (autorisée par la Commission le 6 juin 2001).
