Has decided to enter an allocation of EUR 1 million against Item 2831 ("internet broadcasting of plenary sittings and meetings"); points out that a number of meetings of great interest to the general public will take place in the course of 2004, such as, among others, those in relation to the accession of the new Member States, the hearings of potential future Commissioners and the inauguration of the new legislature; considers, for the time being, that internet broadcasting should focus in 2004 mainly on politically relevant meetings; calls in this connection for tests to be carried out this year, as quickly as possible, so as to determine definitively, at first reading, the amount to be allocated to this heading for broadcasting of sittings and, if appropriate, parliamentary committees; calls upon its Administration to set up a user-friendly video library, following the example set by other parliaments;
