The leader of the Movement for Democratic Change, Morgan Tsvangirai — the actual President of Zimbabwe, if one accepts the election results — is either in hiding or fled the country two weeks ago after being charged with treason for conspiring with the British to oust President Mugabe, a charge that would certainly lead to imprisonment or execution.
