The EESC has already adopted opinions on: the functional economy , the sharing economy and its twin the collaborative economy , the circular economy , innovation as a driver of new business models and the economy for the common good .

On 21 January, the EESC endorsed a new opinion on collaborative or participatory consumption and called for further action at EU level.
Le 21 janvier 2014, le CESE a adopté un nouvel avis sur le thème de la consommation collaborative ou participative , appelant à poursuivre les efforts en la matière à l'échelle de l'UE.

This includes the preparation of common products such as joint opinions, declarations or projects on themes related to job creation and job matching, skills and apprenticeships, mobility and migration, energy and climate change, digitalisation and the collaborative economy.

2. The Collaboration Agreement shall include the agreed contribution, the right to contribute data for processing at the central facilities of JIV-ERIC and the right to attend the Council meetings, the right to receive the agenda and attached documents and to express an opinion on the operational activities of JIV-ERIC in the Council meetings.

In my opinion, this collaborative approach has worked very well to date.

The point there is that because Atlantic Canada, in our opinion, is a relatively unique circumstance on the biofuel side, we have taken it upon ourselves, in collaboration with our membership base and through a project in collaboration with ACOA, to put together an 18-month program that spells out what we are doing, why we are doing it and where we are going.
