Some adjustments to the current emoluments and other benefits of public office holders are nonetheless appropriate in order to reflect the institutional developments in the Union and to modernise the structure of emoluments, in particular by reflecting, where necessary, the amendments introduced by Regulation (EU, Euratom) No 1023/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council (‘Staff Regulations’).
