One of the things that has occurred in Nova Scotia, Nova Scotia being among the provinces with the highest incidence of child poverty, is that the families who are in the deepest poverty in this province have not benefited from that program, because it is being deducted dollar for dollar from their social assistance entitlement.
L'une des choses qui s'est produite en Nouvelle-Écosse, notre province étant de celles qui affiche un taux de pauvreté infantile parmi les plus élevés, c'est que les familles les plus pauvres n'ont pas bénéficié de ce programme puisque cette somme est déduite, dollar pour dollar, de leurs prestations d'aide sociale.
