TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

The continuing tensions between India and Pakistan (and the imperative need to encourage progress towards nuclear disarmament, and the peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue), as well as the threat to regional stability posed by terrorism, religious fundamentalism and ethnic conflict (notably for Afghanistan and Sri Lanka), illustrate the importance of political and security issues in the Sub-Continent.
Les tensions persistantes entre l'Inde et le Pakistan (et la nécessité impérieuse de faire avancer la situation vers un désarmement nucléaire et le règlement pacifique de la question du Cachemire) et la menace que font peser le terrorisme, le fondamentalisme religieux et les conflits ethniques (en Afghanistan et au Sri Lanka surtout) sur la stabilité de la région illustrent l'importance des questions politiques et du problème de la sécurité dans le sous-continent.

53. Regrets Turkey's objections to the implementation of the EU-NATO strategic cooperation based on and going beyond the Berlin Plus Agreement; is concerned about their negative consequences for the protection of the EU personnel deployed, notably EUPOL Afghanistan and EULEX Kosovo, and calls for the lifting of those objections by Turkey at the earliest possible date;
53. regrette les objections de la Turquie à l'encontre de la mise en œuvre de la coopération stratégique UE-OTAN sur la base de l'accord Berlin Plus et en allant au delà de celui-ci; s'inquiète de leurs conséquences négatives en ce qui concerne la protection du personnel de l'Union, notamment EUPOL Afghanistan et EULEX Kosovo, et invite la Turquie à lever ces objections dans les meilleurs délais;
