during a financial year N+1, direct payments, other than payments provided for in Regulation (EU) No 228/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council (16) and in Regulation (EU) No 229/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council (17), in respect of calendar years N-1 or earlier made after the payment deadline will only be eligible for financing by EAGF if the total amount of direct payments made within financial year N+1, where applicable corrected to amounts before the adjustment provided for in Article 26 of Regulation (EU) No 1306/2013, does not exceed the ceiling laid down in Annex III of Regulation (EU) No 1307/2013 in respect of calendar year N, in accordance with Article 7 of that Regulation;

1. The amount of the payment to be granted to a beneficiary under a scheme listed in Annex I to Regulation (EU) No 1307/2013 shall be determined by the Member States on the basis of the conditions established in accordance with that Regulation and with the programmes for the outermost regions of the Union and the smaller Aegean islands established respectively by Regulations (EU) No 228/2013 (12) and (EU) No 229/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council (13) for the direct support scheme in question.
1. Pursuant to those Regulations, support programmes can be established to take account of the geographical and economic handicaps of those regions;

To take into account the specific characteristics of CAP support granted in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 228/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council (7) and Regulation (EU) No 229/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council (8), and the fact that these direct payments are not subject to reduction of payments, the net ceiling for the Member States concerned should not include those direct payments.
Afin de tenir compte des caractéristiques spécifiques du soutien de la PAC accordé conformément au règlement (UE) no 228/2013 du Parlement européen et du Conseil (7) et au règlement (UE) no 229/2013 du Parlement européen et du Conseil (8) et du fait que lesdits paiements directs ne font pas l'objet d'une réduction des paiements, il convient que le plafond net pour les États membres concernés n'inclue pas ces paiements directs.

Where the total amount of direct payments to be granted in a Member State would be higher than the ceiling set out in Annex III, that Member State shall make a linear reduction in the amounts of all direct payments with the exception of direct payments granted under Regulation (EU) No 228/2013 and Regulation (EU) No 229/2013.
Au cas où le montant total des paiements directs à octroyer dans un État membre dépasserait le plafond établi à l'annexe III, ledit État membre procède à une réduction linéaire des montants de tous les paiements directs, à l'exception des paiements directs octroyés au titre du règlement (UE) no 228/2013 et du règlement (UE) no 229/2013.
