IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

Article 7 of Commission Regulation (EC) No 2222/2000 (2) lays down the rules regarding automatic de-commitment of unused appropriations, and in particular provides, for the years 2004 and 2005, that this shall occur on 31 December of the second year following the year of the financial commitment concerned (the n+2 rule for automatic de-commitment) reflecting Article 31(2) of Council Regulation (EC) No 1260/1999 of 21 June 1999 laying down general provisions on the Structural Funds (3).
L’article 7, paragraphe 3, du règlement (CE) no 2222/2000 de la Commission (2) détermine les règles relatives au dégagement d'office des crédits non utilisés et dispose, en particulier, pour les années 2004 et 2005, qu’il interviendra le 31 décembre de la deuxième année suivant celle de l’engagement financier concerné (dégagement d’office selon la «règle n + 2») conformément à l’article 31, paragraphe 2, du règlement (CE) no 1260/1999 du Conseil du 21 juin 1999 portant dispositions générales sur les Fonds structurels (3).

Regulation (EC) No 2222/2000 should therefore be amended accordingly.
Il y a donc lieu de modifier le règlement (CE) no 2222/2000 en conséquence.

Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) No 2222/2000 is replaced by the following:

The requirements were subsequently clarified by implementing Regulation (EC) No 2759/99 and the implementing provisions on financial management (Regulation (EC) No 2222/2000), which were not drawn up until the year 2000.
