Section 25 of the Guidelines mandates that there be evidence of activities that are directly related to the traditions and culture of the Mi’kmaq Group of Indians of Newfoundland with an emphasis on belonging to a Mi’kmaq community represented by a band or organization in Newfoundland, or in the alternative, a wider participation with the Mi’kmaq Group of Indians of Newfoundland in its activities and ceremonies so as to infer acceptance by the Group.
L'article 25 des Lignes directrices prévoit qu'il faut faire la preuve d'une participation à des activités traditionnelles et culturelles du groupe des Indiens mi'kmaq de Terre-Neuve, l'accent étant mis sur l'appartenance à une collectivité mi'kmaq représentée par une organisation ou une bande établie sur l'île, ou encore sur une acceptation attestée par la participation assidue aux activités et aux cérémonies du groupe.
