Welcomes the fact that Ecuador has ratified all eight fundamental ILO conventions; insists on the importance of swift ratification and effective implementation of all ILO conventions by Ecuador and all the EU Member States; regrets that Ecuador has not yet ratified ILO Convention 129, and calls on the Commission to support the efforts of Ecuador to progress in the effective application thereof; calls on the Ecuadorian Government to follow the recommendations of the ILO’s Committee of Experts for effective application of ILO Conventions 87 and 98 and emphasises the importance of the possibility for workers to be able to change or establish new trade unions, for reasons of independence, effectiveness and ideological affinity, and recalls in particular that the ILO has requested that the Ecuadorian Government take the legislative action necessary to comply with the provisions of Article 2 of the Convention;
15. se félicite de la ratification par l'Équateur des huit conventions fondamentales de l'OIT; insiste sur l'importance d'une ratification rapide et de l'application effective de toutes les conventions de l'OIT par l'Équateur et par tous les États membres de l'Union; regrette que l'Équateur n'ait pas encore ratifié la convention nº 129 de l'OIT et invite la Commission à soutenir les efforts consentis par l'Équateur pour faire avancer le processus de sa mise en œuvre effective; demande au gouvernement équatorien de se conformer aux recommandations du comité d'experts de l'OIT relatives à l'application des conventions nº 87 et nº 98 de l'OIT et souligne qu'il importe, dans un souci d'indépendance, d'efficacité et de respect des convictions, que les travailleurs puissent changer d'affiliation syndicale ou créer de nouveaux syndicats, et rappelle en particulier que l'OIT a demandé au gouvernement équatorien d'arrêter les mesures législatives nécessaires de sorte à se conformer aux dispositions de l'article 2 de la convention;

8. Welcomes the fact that since 2012, twelve trade union organisations have received their licences; recalls that administrative manoeuvres must not be designed to withhold legal status from independent unions that attempt to operate outside the existing trade union organisation; calls on the Algerian authorities to allow new trade unions to register legally and to comply with the conventions implemented by the ILO that have been ratified by Algeria, particularly Convention No 87 on Freedom of Association and Protection of the Right to Organise and Convention No 98 on the Right to Organise and Collective Bargaining;
8. salue le fait que, depuis 2012, douze organisations syndicales ont reçu leur agrément; rappelle que les formalités administratives ne doivent pas avoir pour but de refuser l'octroi du statut légal aux syndicats indépendants qui tentent de fonctionner en dehors des organisations syndicales existantes; demande aux autorités algériennes d'autoriser de nouveaux syndicats à s'enregistrer légalement et de respecter les conventions de l'OIT qui ont été ratifiées par l'Algérie, notamment la convention n° 87 sur la liberté syndicale et la protection du droit syndical et la convention n° 98 sur le droit d'organisation et de négociation collective;

Q. whereas about 300 new trade unions have been registered in the garment sector since the start of 2013; whereas in 2014, 66 applications, which amount to 26 % of all applications filed, were rejected; whereas anti-union discrimination remains a very serious and rapidly growing problem; whereas trade unions are reporting that the Government of Bangladesh is proactively preventing workers and employers who want to establish their own safety committees as required by the Accord from doing so;

The scope of the protection granted under this Regulation should be clarified, in particular with regard to those limitations on registration of new trade marks set out in Directive 2008/95/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 October 2008 to approximate the laws of the Member States relating to trade marks that conflict with the registration of protected designations of origin and protected geographical indications as is already the case for the registration of new trade marks at Union level.
Il y a lieu de clarifier le champ de la protection octroyée au titre du présent règlement, en particulier pour ce qui est des limitations applicables à l’enregistrement de nouvelles marques énoncées dans la directive 2008/95/CE du Parlement européen et du Conseil du 22 octobre 2008 rapprochant les législations des États membres sur les marques , lorsqu’il existe un conflit avec l’enregistrement d’appellations d’origine protégées et d’indications géographiques protégées, comme c’est déjà le cas pour l’enregistrement de nouvelles marques au niveau de l’Union.
