According to the Commission proposal of 23.05.2013 for a new EIB external mandate, the total ceiling for the provisioning of the Fund for the 2014-2020 mandate would amount to EUR 1.193 billion, compared to EUR 1.4 billion under the 2007-2013 financial framework (both amounts in current prices).
Conformément à la proposition de la Commission du 23 mai 2013 pour un nouveau mandat extérieur de la BEI, le plafond total de provisionnement du Fonds pour le mandat 2014-2020 devrait s’élever à 1,193 milliard d’EUR, contre 1,4 milliard d’EUR au titre du cadre financier 2007-2013 (montants à prix courants).

This fund would provide grant support for lending operations by institutions such as EIB (in the context of its new external lending mandate), EBRD and possibly Member-State development-finance institutions, in line with established EU priorities.
