IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

As of 3 April 2017, EU countries in which GMOs are cultivated have to introduce measures in border areas of their territory with the aim of avoiding possible cross-border contamination into neighbouring EU countries in which the cultivation of those GMOs is prohibited, unless such measures are unnecessary in the light of particular geographical conditions.
Depuis le 3 avril 2017, les pays membres de l’UE dans lesquels sont cultivés des OGM doivent mettre en place des mesures aux frontières de leur territoire afin d’empêcher tout risque de contamination transfrontalière avec les pays européens voisins où la culture des ces OGM est interdite, à moins que ces mesures soient inutiles compte tenu de conditions géographiques particulières.

In addition, an action "Grand voisinage" aimed at facilitating cooperation with the neighbouring countries would be included under the new "European territorial cooperation" programmes.

Reiterates the importance of inclusive regional cooperation in the Western Balkans and welcomes Serbia's active participation in regional initiatives and bilateral meetings that promote good neighbourly relations, and its increasingly active role in fostering reconciliation in the region; welcomes the official visit by President Tadić to Bosnia and Herzegovina and his support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country; calls on the Serbian Government to ensure that its direct relations with the authorities of the Republika Srpska are in line with this stated support and do not undermine the integrity, sovereignty, competences and effective functioning of the institutions of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina; furthermore, urges the Serbian authorities to support reforms in BiH aimed at strengthening and streamlining the country's institutions with a view to EU-related reforms; calls on both governments to hold a special joint session in order to achieve better coordination in EU-related reforms; welcomes the initiatives and achievements with regard to improving political relations between Croatia and Serbia launched and brought about by Presidents Josipović and Tadić; reiterates that such positive bilateral relations are a good basis for resolving pending border issues and underlines that the lawsuits on genocide launched by the two countries against each other should not impede further progress in this regard; encourages the Serbian authorities to work closely with the countries of the former Yugoslavia and other neighbouring countries on the resolution of all outstanding problems of legal succession; encourages transborder cooperation with the neighbouring EU Member States Bulgaria, Hungary and Romania, including within the framework of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region;

Encourages Croatia to continue its efforts to maintain and further develop good-neighbourly relations and to remain an important and proactive promoter of regional cooperation on all levels; commends the Croatian President for paying deep respect to Bosnian victims of war crimes on his official visit to Sarajevo in April 2010; sees this initiative and gesture as a commitment on the part of Croatia to solve historical issues with its neighbours in a fair, sincere and dignified manner; welcomes also the joint statement by the President and Prime Minister of Croatia on support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its accession to the EU and NATO; notes that progress in regional cooperation has been uneven and therefore urges the Croatian Government and the governments of the neighbouring countries to intensify their dialogue aimed at reconciliation among the citizens of the region and at reaching definite and mutually acceptable solutions to all outstanding bilateral issues, in particular as regards final agreements on state borders, missing persons, property restitution and refugee return as well as the extradition of citizens in cases of war crimes and crimes against humanity;

Cross-border cooperation between neighbouring territories aims to develop cross-border economic and social networks and joint approaches to territorial development.
La coopération transfrontalière entre territoires contigus vise à développer des pôles économiques et sociaux transfrontaliers et des stratégies communes de développement territorial.

Transnational cooperation between national, regional and local authorities aims to promote a higher degree of territorial integration, with a view to achieving sustainable, harmonious and balanced development in the Community and better territorial integration with candidate and other neighbouring countries.
La coopération transnationale entre autorités nationales, régionales et locales vise à promouvoir un plus haut degré d'intégration territoriale. Elle a pour objectif de parvenir à un développement durable, harmonieux et équilibré dans la Communauté, ainsi qu'à une meilleure intégration territoriale avec les pays candidats et les autres pays voisins.
